Commitment Contract Lesson — Pre-Video Pledge Variant
A lesson page that prompts the learner to make a written or signed commitment before they're allowed to start the video — pilots a 21-day reset opener but the pattern fits any high-stakes course where personal accountability drives outcomes.
Best for: High-stakes courses where personal accountability drives outcomes — habit, mindset, fitness, finance, addiction recovery, transformation programs.

What it does
- Locked-video stage — the video player is visibly present but disabled until the commitment step is completed
- Written commitment prompt — one or two short input fields ask the learner to name what they're committing to and why
- Digital signature step — a name-and-date field (or a typed-name signature) makes the moment feel weighty rather than throwaway
- Unlock animation — completing the commitment unlocks the video with a small visual confirmation that the pledge was received
- Saved pledge for later reference — the commitment is stored so the learner can revisit it later in the course when motivation dips
- Responsive lesson layout — the pledge flow works cleanly on phone or desktop
Best use cases
- Habit and reset programs — pledge to the daily commitment before the first video plays
- Fitness and weight-loss courses — write the why before the workout plan reveals
- Financial and money mindset courses — commit to the saving or budgeting protocol before the first lesson
- Recovery and transformation work — name the goal in writing before the curriculum starts
- Coaching programs — sign the work agreement and intention before the first session video unlocks
What you can change with your DNA
When you run this through the remix skill, your CCOS DNA — brand, voice, audience — drives these decisions automatically:
- Colors — slots for page background, locked-video frame, pledge form area, signature line, and the unlock confirmation accent
- Fonts — two roles: a serious display font for the pledge headline, and a body font that matches the brand's coaching register
- Copy — pledge headline, prompt questions (typically 'what are you committing to' and 'why'), signature label, unlock confirmation message, and lesson title
- Images — optional instructor signature, a subtle background texture for the pledge area, or an icon that marks the unlock state
- Behavior — minimum word count before unlock, whether signed pledges email back to the learner, and whether the pledge resurfaces in later lessons
